This animation was inspired by a comprehensive Blender tutorial—designed to teach 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation fundamentals.
I began by crafting the donut’s base mesh, using modelling tools to shape the dough and create a realistic form.
I then applied a dripping icing shape and used texture painting or shader nodes to simulate glossy frosting. Afterwards, I used Blender’s material editor to tweak reflections, subsurface scattering, and surface imperfections for a lifelike effect.

I then Illuminated the scene with soft, natural lighting, mimicking a studio setup to highlight the donut’s sheen and textures. Afterwards, I added a subtle movement animation to bring the donut to life. Finally, I rendered the animation in Blender.
